Zoom In for a Close Up Without Losing Any Type

When I’m formatting type I like to get up close and personal, so I Zoom way in to see what’s really going on. The problem is that a portion of my document and the type I’m formatting ends up under my palettes. How can I preview my formatting as large as possible without losing any of my type?

First, make your document window smaller. Simply click-drag the right side of the window in from the lower right corner of the window until it clears all the palettes on the right side of your screen. Next, scroll across your document until you see the left hand margin. Then click-drag with the Zoom tool (Z) from just outside the left margin across to the right side of the document window. This will scroll the visible area of your document and bring the hidden portion into view. Continue click-dragging across to the right until the Zoom tool is just outside the right margin. When you release your mouse, the entire type area of your page will fill the window as large as possible from left to right.
