To bring out the texture in the white bricks and add some highlight to the classic soda machine, I added another Ranger with an A head to the shot. I attached a standard reflector on this head and added a blue gel to the light so it would resemble a streetlight. I raised the head up to 9′ on a light stand and aimed it down on the scene. Now I had five Rangers popping in the shot, and a crowd of onlookers wondering who was the celebrity sitting on the bumper. The Skyport transmitter fired all five flashes flawlessly, and the scene came to life. Sometimes the simplest scenes transform into complicated lighting setups. In the end, just follow your lighting intuition.
