3D Film Studio Logo Effect

I saw this very effect on a movie trailer recently. It was actually the studio logo at the beginning. I was so captivated by the effect that I don’t even remember what the movie was. Anyway after playing around with some Photoshop 3D trickery I was able to get a similar result. Really demonstrates the power of having a large library of textures on hand for whatever you need!
