Premiere will now work with various tapeless video formats, including videos footage from a dslr camera, and allow editors to work with the footage directly in Premiere.

I’m a little confused about this product feature. I’m using Premiere Pro cs3 and can edit 7d 1080p footage directly without touching the video files at all. What exactly is new?
