I discovered that if you select the portion of the path that you want to be knocked out using the paths direct selection tool and change the path properties to “Subtract from path area (-)”, then select the entire path and create a Repousse object, the internal constraints will be available.
Thanks, Corey. This fixed an issue a lot of us were having on your Iron Man tutorial. Funny how it worked for you when selecting paths on your font, but not for others. Could it have to do with using an OpenType font as opposed to a TrueType or Postscript font?
