Opportunities Announced for Creative Students to Attend Three-Day Conference (Tampa, Florida – March 8, 2006) The producers of MacLive, the Learning Conference for Creative Professionals, today announced their scholarship program for students of creative focus. Now, students addicted to the Macintosh® platform, digital photography and new media can obtain a free full-conference pass to the monumental event, scheduled for May 11 – 13, 2006 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City. The MacLive scholarship program was developed to give creative students a unique opportunity to learn breakthrough techniques and to interact with creative professionals at what promises to be one of the most momentous learning events in North America. MacLive features over 60 learning sessions in photography, design, Podcasting, video production, Web creativity and digital imaging presented by 18 of the industry’s most renowned instructors. Ten students will receive free admission to experience all the marvels of MacLive and a year’s subscription to Layers magazine — one of the conference’s flagship sponsors — a package valued at over $699. To qualify, students must be nominated by an educator from an accredited learning institution (colleges, universities, high-schools, etc.). Nominating educators can submit their recommendations by completing the online Scholarship form at www.maclive.com. The deadline for nominations is April 7, 2006 and awardees will be notified on April 8, 2006.
