    Hi Corey,

While attempting this tutorial I noticed after the first Transformation the hex shape goes downward on the art board, however, I could not do this without making the vertical a negative. I’m using CS4, is there a setting that I need to change?

    Thanks,

    Patrick

    @ Patrick:
CS5 has a different “origin” for the coordinate system than CS4 had.
I don’t remember the details, but I believe CS4 has 0,0 at lower left, while CS5 starts upper left.
    Regards, Jan

I haven’t put this into practice yet, but I’m sure it will be very helpful for the pattern I want to make! My problem was getting it to be seamless when I had 6 different hexagons that I was using. Thank you so much for this tutorial. Crossing my fingers that it will do me good when I work with illustrator tomorrow!

Why did it take me so long to find this? Thank you, Corey and the internet. This will be fantastic for creating educational games for my students, yeah D&D style.
