Last evening I got a call from an artist who’s an expert in Adobe Illustrator but just learning InDesign. He asked, “Where is the Star tool hiding in InDesign? Do I have to open Illustrator to draw it?” “Of course not,” I replied. “Just click with your Polygon tool, and in the dialog that opens, fill in the Width and Height, a number of sides (which become the points in stars), plus a Star Inset percentage for the inner points. Click OK, and a star is born.”
