Apple releases Aperture 1.5.1
Apple today released Aperture 1.5.1, an update to its post production photography tool designed for industry professionals. The release confirms an earlier report suggesting that the Cupertino-based company would unveil the latest revision of its software, as detailed by an Apple director at the PhotoPlus Expo. Aperture 1.5.1 improves overall reliability and performance in many areas of the application, including keywords, the Loupe, cropping, previews, metadata presets, file renaming, iPhoto library import, and watermarks. Specifically the update addresses more than 100 issues related to overall reliability and performance in all areas of the application. Aperture 1.5.1 is available for $300, with upgrades available for free to existing Aperture users of any previous version. Aperture requires Mac OS X 10.4.8 or later. The company also released its fully functional free trial of the software, as previously reported.
