Next, lay out a pattern similar to the one shown here. The width of the tabs on each end should be about 3/4″ narrower than the width of your flash head and about 1″ before the beginning of the flare. If you plan to carry it inside your flash pouch, the overall length of the piece can’t be much longer than your straightened flash.
