Renowned Illustrator to Give Special Learning Session at New York Conference (Tampa, Florida – April 5, 2006) The producers of MacLive (www.maclive.com), the Learning Conference for Creative Professionals, today announced a special event featuring renowned illustrator, Bert Monroy. Billed as An Evening with Bert Monroy, the special learning session of MacLive will be presented Friday, May 12, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and is an exclusive event just for attendees of MacLive. Monroy is known as a photo-realist painter, creating digital images with Adobe® Illustrator and Photoshop that are nearly indiscernible from photographs. He has written a number of books including Photorealism with Bert Monroy: Using Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator and will also be one of MacLive’s featured instructors. His amazing images and a variety of tutorials can be found at his personal website, www.bertmonroy.com. In An Evening with Bert Monroy, MacLive attendees will travel into the mind of the photographer that does not use a camera and learn how he solves problems, his work habits and the philosophy behind his work. Bert, being the perennial teacher, will cram the time with demonstrations of the techniques he has established through the years as well as explanations of the thought process in their development. Informal may be the format for this gathering but education is the goal.
