Lighting for Weddings: Jason Groupp

When I have some extra time, I like to put the lights in different places to create some drama. Think of them like lighting grenades and put them in places they shouldn’t be. Because you’re firing them with a radio trigger, if it doesn’t work the first time, you can always turn them off.

Or you could ask your assistant to hold the light for you

All too often we get wrapped up in the gear. For your next wedding, take some simple steps to create some fun in your reception lighting. One light (or two, if you got ’em), a transmitter, and receiver is all you need!
