Step One

Measure the distance from the tip of one extended leg to another. Write down this measurement and add at least 3″, and that’s how large your plywood triangle should be. Note: If the number is greater than 4′, you may not be able to do this project without some additional work because bulk plywood doesn’t usually come in sheets larger than 4′ wide. Most small and medium stands won’t need that much.
