The video for this tutorial seems no longer to be working. Would you be able to get it up and running again please as I’d loved to learn more about InDesign object layers?

Just like paragraph styles… but, I never use the fx options in InDesign… I leave that up to PhotShop.

And you never stop learning. I’ve been teaching layout for 8 years and I still continue to learn.
