scott kelby gonzo guide
I’m happy to tell you that the Ski Report has absolutely nothing to do with skiing. See, some folks at work call me “ski” (since my last name has just about every letter in the alphabet in it). Not having a better idea for a name for this post, the Ski Report sounded good. Let’s get to it:

1) If you read just one gadget gift guide thingee this holiday season then make sure it’s Scott Kelby’s 2nd Annual Gonzo Holiday Gear Guide. Here’s why (and bear with me for two sentences): Scott is one of the world’s leading authors and teachers out there today. The main reason why is because Scott sees things on the same down-to-earth, human level that his audience does. Now, he may know more about the subject matter at hand then they do, but he doesn’t try to show it. He simply shows people what THEY want to know, not what HE knows. Same goes for his gadget guide. He knows the issues we all face with buying things and being happy with them once we buy them because he’s the same exact way. So if Scott is recommending a product in his gift guide, it’s 100% guaranteed that he’s making a ton of money off of it (totally just kidding). Seriously, if Scott is recommending it, then it means he really likes it. And from my experience… if Scott really likes it, then I always wind up liking it too. Take a look at the gift guide here.

2) Next up, and this one is for everyone out there, regardless of what Adobe Creative Suite product you use. Adobe has a website called the Adobe Exchange. It’s got a ton of free extensions for Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator, After Effects and so on. Most of it is free and it’s categorized in an easy-to-find way. Make sure you check this one out.

Well, that’s it for the Ski Report. 8 inches of fresh powder on the ground and 90% of the trails are open here in Tampa, FL. Have a great weekend.
