Happy Monday everyone! I hope that the extended weekend treated everyone well. I for one traveled a few hours to go visit some family and wound up getting sick through the process. I sit here a sniffling mess, trying to get back in the game. However, this is not what you came here for. You want to see cool stuff, and I am here to deliver, like Domino’s!

D3X is Announced
For those who drool over awesome cameras, we salute you. Nikon has officially released the new Nikon D3X! with a 24.5-megapixel CMOS FX format sensor, full resolution shooting at 5 FPS, ISO from 100-1600 (expandable to 50-6400), TIFF, JPEG or NEF (RAW) file formats up to 138MB, and a newly updated EXPEED image processing system, this camera is a juggernaut! Look for it to break the banks and wallets of the devoted this December at $7,995 (ouch!)

Interesting Video Technology Alert
So.. I’m laying in bed, and my buddy Moose sends me a link to this video. Dan Goldman is working on a project between Adobe and the University of Washington on creating interactivity with video editing. I think that if implemented, this could be really, really cool functionality in the After Effects/Premiere side of things. Check it out for yourself:

The interactive video manipulation software is absolutely amazing. I would pay for this.

  8. Chris Taylor (Reply) on Monday December 1, 2008

That Interactive Video Object Manipulation technology is just amazing. I really hope it ends up in Premiere or After Effects because it would open up new doors for developing video as an interface rather than a static chronological format.
