Happy Friday everyone. Wanted to leave you guys with some extensible goodness. Yesterday, I sat down for a beverage with Photoshop Senior Product Manager John Nack, and we got to talking about all of the cool things that are happening with Photoshop – not in the future, but right now.
For example – take Dr. Woohoo. Here’s a guy that’s using Adobe AIR to create paintings using Adobe Illustrator and 3D symbols. More on this by clicking on this link. Really amazing stuff.
Now, if the programming side gets your fancy – check out Switchboard at the Adobe Labs site. Switchboard lets you leverage Flex Builder to create AIR applications to have 2 way communications with Adobe apps. Think about it! You can create a desktop app that can drive specific things in Photoshop. This is really envelope-pushing stuff, and I encourage you guys to check out John Nack and Dr. Woohoo’s page and see what they are cooking up.
Layers TV Contest Winner
Congratulations to Mark Roberg for winning (and his funny answer) to the difference between Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop CS3 Extended. If you are interested in what the two versions of Photoshop CS3 hold, go to the Adobe Photoshop CS3 Comparison site and you can get up to speed on the differences.
