Our Master of Web Ceremonies, Jim, gave me a really interesting link this morning. With Mothers Day coming up and all, how about you say you love her with a bunch of recycled camera parts? Sound strange? Well.. maybe for some.
re:vison has a site up that sells jewelry. Their bracelets have some models that are made from recycled camera parts, and it’s a nifty idea. Check out the designs. And here I thought I was going to get my mom a Wii. If I could just find them at the local Walmart.
Now, in one of my other posts, a reader named JP (Hi JP!) had asked about a site that I mentioned about getting Mac parts at a much lower price than hitting up the Mac store. The place is called Other World Computing – and if you haven’t heard me ramble on about them before – low cost, great selection, they rock!
Just a couple of days ago, OWC released a new Mercury On the Go drive at 500GB!. Even at 5400RPM, you have to admit that carrying 500GB in your pocket, and having FW400, 800, and USB2.0 all bus powered is a very positive feature. Right now, I am using the 320GB one, and it is very quickly taking over the place that I had originally reserved for two Lacie Rugged drives (Hmm.. two drives in my bag, or one super one.. which one will I pick..). As soon as I clean up the Lightroom mess I have on my computer (I just really need to keyword), it’s off to multiple catalogs for me. You’ll see the whole scenario in another post soon enough. Even Terry White is a fan – check out his shout on the blog.
Check out the jump for a really cool tutorial on how to create HDR-esque images in Lightroom.

Mark Fleming has got an interesting way of making HDR-esque corrections inside of Lightroom. Make sure you check out the tutorial.
