Tia, no this has been in Photoshop since CS3 (if not before?). At the bottom of the Layers panel there is an Adjustment Layer icon and when you click on it there are a bunch of layer options in it including: Solid Color, Pattern, Gradient, Levels, etc.

Hi Dave. I noticed that you are using an adjustment layer called Pattern Fill. It looks really useful. Is this only available in CS5? Thanks!
