A big congratulations and shout out go to my co-host Corey Barker as he sports a newly-dressed Planet Photoshop, redesigned from the ground up by our resident web genius.
Planet Photoshop provides tutorials, news, techniques and tips about the big ol’ blue PS app. Even cooler? It’s FREE. If you love watching Corey on Layers TV (over there on the right hand side of the page), you can get a continuous dose of him at Planet. He blogs, he asks questions, he makes cool stuff with warp. Maybe we can even turn that into a contest at one point: Design a I -heart- Corey t-shirt or something. I kid… I kid…
THIS JUST IN – Terms of Use Being Addressed for Photoshop Express
Jay Walker wrote in with a specific concern he had with the Terms of Use in Photoshop Express. ( You can check out the link for the TOU here ). In reading it, I thought it did sound a little weird in that any pics that you put up can be used by Adobe at will. But no need for concern here Jay. Check out John Nack’s blog, which addressed the very same issue with a response from the Photoshop Express Team themselves. Here’s an excerpt:
“We’ve heard your concerns about the terms of service for Photoshop Express beta. We reviewed the terms in context of your comments – and we agree that it currently implies things we would never do with the content. Therefore, our legal team is making it a priority to post revised terms that are more appropriate for Photoshop Express users. We will alert you once we have posted new terms. Thank you for your feedback on Photoshop Express beta and we appreciate your input.” – Photoshop Express Team [via John Nack's Blog]

A cool Lightroom tutorial and the Contest Winner to follow, so check us out after the jump.
Auto Import in Lightroom
Chris Alvanas has got a cool tutorial on automatically importing images in Lightroom. Check it out by clicking on the link below:
Auto Importing into Lightroom – Chris Alvanas
When I am shooting in the studio (and even in some location shoots) Auto importing with a tethered camera is my most preferred method to shoot. If you want to get more details on how to round that out, look no further than the man, Scott Kelby. He’s got a post on his website about Shooting Tethered that brings it all together for you. Again, any questions or ideas on it, feel free to drop him a comment, or leave one here for us.
Contest Winner
Congratulations to Ressa McCray for winning the Photoflip CS component from our friends at Digicrafts Components. I seriously love this thing. If you haven’t seen it on the Layers TV episode we did, check it out. Maybe I’ll post a gallery or two using it.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Be sure to stop in on Monday for our new contest!
