Good Morning. Up on the Coffee? Good. Let’s get to it!
Adobe has announced the onAIR Tour – Europe from March 31 to June 13. If you are itching to learn how to harness the power of the newest technology from the big red A, this is the place to do it. They’re only visiting select cities, so make sure you get your spot. Click on the link below to get yourself signed up. Oh, and did I mention that the conference is FREE?!
Check the onAIR Tour page here.
We’ve also got a really cool tutorial on how to cross process a photo using Curves by Mark Fleming. Make sure you visit the tutorial here and tell us what you think.
Check out the jump for the Safari Alert and for this Friday’s contest!
Laurie Excel Safari Coming Up
Famed Nature Photographer Laurie Excel has got a cool safari coming to Florida in just a few weeks. From March 3-7, Laurie will be photographing birds at Ft. DeSoto Beach, considered one of the “Best Beaches in Florida” . To top that, Moose Peterson will be joining the mix, with an appearance from Scott Kelby as well. It’s a triple threat, it’s in Florida, and it’s coming up soon. Make sure you get a spot by clicking here
Contest Time
Before we begin, I want to tell you how much Corey and I appreciate all of the viewer feedback we have been getting on the show. We want to make sure that we are out there teaching everyone, and not just how to use the applications within CS3. We also want to make sure that some of your specific needs are being met.
To that end, I’ve spent a lot of time going over your emails and suggestions (and yes, I do know that I do say “Wind up doing.. ” entirely too much. I’m trying to break the habit), but we want you all to know that we really do mean it when we say we want more!
This is what I’ll do for this one. It will require some work on your part. Go to the Contact Section of our site. In there you will see a drop-down for Layers TV staff. Select that and send us a request for a specific tutorial on anything Adobe. If you have a specific problem or need, we’d like to hear about it. If Corey and I have to bring in a big gun to come in and talk about it, we’re game.
So.. send us your tutorial idea. Our producers will randomly pick 2 winners on Tuesday 9AM. Those two will receive a copy of Corey Barker’s Photoshop CS3 Channels DVD. Deadline for the contest is Monday 5PM. So, tell your friends, tell your loved ones. Tell everyone! We have a DVD, and we’re not afraid to give it to someone.
See you guys on Monday! Have a great weekend!

Quick InDesCS3 question for you folks – it seems ID doesn’t have the same dual monitor supports as PS CS3; that true? I can’t drag an open doc beyond the application window (though I *can* move the panels/palettes). Any thoughts?
