Just about this time in 1990 this unabashed geekette, (she said, tucking her pocket protecter inside her bra,)was doing tech support for a national software company's tax prep program for accountants ported over to PC from the System 36. It was tax season and I spent long days and many evenings sorting out conflicting memory managers, IPX settings, ARCNET drivers for an average of 25-40 anxious users each day through mid-April.

In my off hours, I taught myself QB,dBase and began to experiment with LePrint (a WordPerfect add-in that used dot commands to manipulate the fonts) and a program from Aldus.. Page-something. I think it also might have been about that time I discovered Hijack & PC Paintbrush...

Ah the good old days....

February 19, 1990 -- I was coming up on my first birthday. I couldn't even comprehend why I had to share my teething ring. Now I'm a Junior at the Savannah College of Art and Design majoring in Advertising Design.

Late nights working on final projects in Colour Theory, Vector and Raster Graphics, and Digital Page and Web Graphics -- YES I've fallen asleep at the computer. And you wouldn't happen to know of any way to get spaghetti sauce stains out of the white that is Macintosh would you? Haha.

Keep up the good work

RC,
Not feeling qualified enough to post to Jeff Schewe's blog so I will just post mine here if you don't mind. On Feb. 19, 1990, I had just returned from my honeymoon having gotten married on the 17th to my lovely bride Renee(who is my best friend and love of my life). I returned to work as a temp for Martin Marrieta in the warehouse of an Apache TADS/PNVS repair facility in Killeen, Tx. I had just exited the service at Ft. Hood. I can remember using cheesy graphics and a simple design program to make church bulletins on PC not having a computer of my own until many years later. It wasn't until 1998 that I got into design with Homesite and Paint Shop Pro before making the switch to Photoshop 5.5.

As for falling asleep at the computer, not guilty. Eating dinner at the PC, guilty as charged. Addicted to Photoshop/Dreamweaver, guilty again.
Blessings,
Doug
