So, Apple has finished its takeover of the world with the release of its new OS – Leopard. So far, it seems to be getting good reviews. I spent much of the weekend on Terry-Watch. Terry White is master of all things gadget (and Adobe) and his Tech Blog has great reviews about up and coming tech stuff. He spent the entire weekend going through Leopard and documenting his pitfalls with it (which surprisingly, were very few).
Why would he do this, you ask? Well, because he cares about all of you out there. All you have to do this morning is check out his summary and decide for yourself if going to Leopard is worth the run to the store. As for me, I am going to wait until they have that Lightroom CS3 thing sorted out.
At the end of last week I was hanging out with renown wildlife photographer Moose Peterson. We were working on setting up some prints using a Canon ImagePROGRAF 6100. I have to say, nice printer, but we had the hardest time trying to get downloads from their website.
The print drivers for OSX were missing and whatever was there was not labeled as a driver for us. After about 90 minutes of searching we were able to find something to help us install it.
Paper profiles seem to be largely absent from the website as well, giving you a ‘file not found’ error whenever you try to download them. We have a couple of calls into Canon to see if they can help us, but the experience was a little off-putting.
The 6100 more than made up for the hassle when the final print came out of the printer. It just makes me want to be outside!

It‘s quiet in here! Why not leave a response?
