Episode Summary

Corey has figured out how to recreate an Andy Warhol portrait effect using Illustrator.

  • Open a photo in Illustrator and run a live trace using the grayscale mode to create a vectorized version
  • Choose expand and then select and delete the white background
  • Create a box with the rectangle shape tool
  • Drag out two duplicates of the box, then select all three and make three more copies below for a grid of six
  • Experiment with the color picker and change the boxes to different colors
  • Apply the vectorized photo to the object
  • Open the transparency panel and change the blend mode to difference
  • That same grayscale image will appear differently on each colored box

RC has a couple of basic adjustments you can create in Premiere to make your video files stand out more.

  • Scale and location are two elements that you can adjust to give your video a more technical appearance
  • Open a new project in Premiere and bring a movie file onto the stage
  • Open the effect controls panel
  • The two effects RC uses in his tutorial are scale and position
  • Input keyframes to indicate where your effects will begin and end
  • Drag the position of the keyframes to adjust the applied effects
