I followed the video carefully and it went fine until right up to the point when I try to take away the unwanted part of the marquee selection. I press alt+cmd and click on the alpha channel thumbnail, but instead of the part over the figure disappaearing, the rest of the marquee channel disappears and I’m left with the part of the marquee channel I wanted to remove now surrounded by “marching ants”.
