Hey everyone. Not trying to be the guy who panics everyone, but we got this in and thought it was a good thing to pass on to everyone here. There is a problem affecting Acrobat 9 Reader and Acrobat 9 Pro where a vunerability allows the program to crash, and lets the attacker take over your PC. This can affect both PC and Mac Platforms, so Adobe has a bulletin out there telling you more about the problem, and linking to the files for the update. If you are using Acrobat (and i’d venture to say its everyone.. i mean Acrobat Reader is everywhere), you really need to download these files:

Automate Your Designs with Nested Styles in Adobe InDesign

Since getting this update I am having all kinds of havoc with saving PDF’s from the web (IE) and Word. Sometimes it crashes (with IE and the web captures) but with Word it is just plain daft. It will save after prompting to save but the engine is still active/stuck and has to be cancelled to clear the screen. Then you can find where it saved the copy it did make.
Anyone else seeing this nonsense?
