Sometime this afternoon, we should have the newest episode of Layers TV up for you guys. In this week’s episode, I’m going to spend some time talking about how to incorporate video into a Dreamweaver page, and there are a couple of tips on how to get around some buggy things with Video and Dreamweaver Templates. Make sure that you come back and check it out – in the upper right corner of the homepage.
While I am on that, I want point out a couple of things about Layers TV:
1. We really try to make an effort to keep the show short so that it doesn’t take up too much time for you to check it out. You could technically check us out while on a coffee break – I should know.. I do it all the time. That said, we have also heard a lot of requests about extending the show. I didn’t want the comments to go unanswered.. but we are trying to find a line of balance between “Oh my God, when is this over” and “Wow.. that was it?” Stay tuned over the next couple of weeks for those changes.
2. Yes, I am very aware that I say “Wind Up” more than I probably should. It’s one of those things that was left over from when I worked at a Swiss watch company and had to do corporate training. (Not really). As much as I wind up (see?!) saying it, it’s totally worse when I don’t. I am working on it though.. if you see a rubber band on my wrist, you’ll know things got bad.

3. We are appreciating all of your questions, and want you guys to keep them coming! No question is too basic. One of two things will happen – I will either answer the question here on the blog, or we’ll put it on the show.
4. If you have missed an episode, you can always check us out on the Layers TV Archive Page. We are working on getting the descriptions to the shows posted on the category page.
5. People using technologies other than iPhone – that is something we are also working on. As soon as I get an update on that, I will let you know.

Rod Harlan of DV Confidential has got a cool column on The Best DV Consumer Cameras out there. I’ve been seriously drooling over a Canon HV20 ever since my camera got stolen in Vegas last year. One of these days, Alice…
Congratulations to John Nack!!!
On a final, non-tech note: Make sure to stop by the blog of John Nack – Senior Product Manager for Adobe Photoshop. His techniness is not why you’ll visit though. He is now officially a dad! Welcome to Finnegan Liggett Nack! A baby is great news all over.
That’s a great note to stop on. We’ll see you guys tomorrow!

Hi guys,
on the subject of layersTV timing, I would love it to be longer, kind of like PhotoshopUserTV. As a mainly web/flash developer I would love for the weekly show to be longer so it can encompass more tutorials and greater indepth tutorials.
hey rc,
i guess i can post this here, since the blog post was about layers tv. i found out i won the contest last week, and have yet to hear from u guys via email. i hope im not being a pain, but im anxious to watch my dvd, and still haven’t grasped completely the fact that ive won, so some confirmation would be nice. i hope im not sounding like an annoyance. i really enjoy your show, and have recommended it to a few designer buddies of mine. look forward to the continuing evolution of the podcast.
thanks,
Zacharie LeBar
Good morning, I must say I love your shows. They are really informative and helpful for a guy like me who works full time and can’t go to school right now. I have been really inspired by this web site. I have one problem n cs3 photoshop and it’s with my brush tool. Every time I use it, It leaves specs of color left behind like dust. My setting are correct but that does help. Can you please help me. O’yea I don’t have the issue in my old version CS.
Love the show and all your books, keep up the Great work. I tell all my graphic Friends about U.
