Happy Monday everyone! Couple of good things to cover here.. so let’s get started with them.
Seamless – Work of The SVA
OK.. anyone who know anything of me knows how much I am a fan of Katrin Eismann. IMO, she’s written the definitive books on Restoration and Retouching, as well as Masking and Compositing. (Those books are required reading for anyone who wants to be pro at Photoshop). Katrin now serves as the chair of the MPS Digital Photography Program at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. (If there’s one program I would love to attend.. hands down, it would be this one. To Learn from Katrin.. and in NY.. and SVA? But alas.. I work… in Florida.. )
That said, I saw something cool come across my screen this morning. Katrin has put together a book of the MPS Digital Photography Program 2008 Thesis and it’s available to order from Blurb. If you click on the link below, you can go to the Blurb site (a place where you can make all sorts of books.. really neat) and actually check out the images that are in there. Stunning, I say… stunning. Click on the link below to get there.

I Heart Likah Rue
We love our fans, we really do. If there’s one thing that I really want to make a concerted effort to do is to try to make sure that we develop a good back and forth here on the net. If you have questions, you need to go to our Contact page and let us know by either emailing them to the blog, or to the show. Corey and I always get the emails that come in with questions, and you’ll be certain that we try to get those answered. So.. make sure you are sending them in.
Couple of weeks ago, a buddy of mine, Likah surprised us by stopping by NAPP Headquarters. We did a tour, she saw a little taping, and I thought it was the end of it. Who would have thought that this would be the beginning of her video career?
Well as it turned out, her and her friend Erin made a video complete with a Layers TV send up… that’s also complete with facial hair, goatee, and Layers TV taped logos.. I thought it rocked.
Click here to check out the full video.
If you want to follow us on the interwebs, we even have a Facebook account now!
Dave Cross Roundtripping
Dave Cross has got a great video on how to work with a logo going from Illustator to Photoshop to Illustrator. The effect is great, but most importantly I love it because it deals with how to -intergrate- applications together. That’s the part that rocks. Click on the link below to get to the tutorial:

Good luck to all of you, and we’ll see you all back on Tuesday!

Oh, how i love those links to awesomeness!!! Thanks.
The “problem” with you being on facebook, is when I see that you’re working on the blog… I refresh the blog post every 2 minutes for an hour or two..
Well, on the upside, maybe I was the first correct entry for the contest… crossing those fingers.
I am with you RC. I think Katrian is great. I love to watch her on Kelby Training. She just comes across so classy and gracious at the same time. I can’t wait till she get more lessons up there. She helped me greatly improve my panoramas with just my little P&S in her Creative Panoramic Photography class. I will be checking out her Color to B&W class next month.
