Hey Guys:
So, at this time next week we will all be at the Photoshop World love-fest being held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a three-day (for most even four-day) love-fest about all things Photoshop. While many people talk about the amazing classes that are there, I wanted to point out a couple of things that a lot of people -don’t- talk about in a press release – but should.
Looking at it from the outside in:
One of the reasons I would always come to Photoshop World was for the sense of community that was in there. There are thousands of people and getting up at 7am to get coffee, I’d see people walking to the shop with a bounce in their step. After shaking a bit of nervousness, I’d ask if they were there to do Photoshop, and in a manner of minutes I would be having great conversations about things that were important to me, and that (frankly), a lot of other people around my house are just sick and tired of hearing about.
To me, it’s a place where after a couple of hours, I would run into a familiar face. Coffee dates and lunch dates were made. Plans to meet up with so-and-so for the After Party. Sharing a cab with another total stranger. All of this linked together by Photoshop.
It’s a great vibe, and I can’t wait to see everyone there.
Viva Las Vegas!
