So.. we’re back from Day 1 of Imaging USA and getting ready to start the crunch for the second day. I have to say, getting to see it here in Tampa has been a special treat. There is so much to check out; cool gear and great speakers make for an awesome time at Imaging USA.

So, what have I been digging so far:

Obviously, the first thing on my list was to check out Joe McNally doing his thing over at the Nikon booth. I am so excited to see his class come up on our site. Be sure to check him out at the Kelby Training Website as his class drops. I’m hoping to spend a little time with him over the next couple of days. Who knows.. I could learn a little.

I had never seen Joe Buissink live, I’ve only gawked at his work from a far (by that I mean on the internet). He gave a great presentation today on the Canon floor. Still a big fave of mine.

However, the one person that I have to say BLEW ME AWAY was Cliff Mautner. Wow, that guy has some amazing images, a great presence on the stage, and just an incredible amount of passion for what he does. I think one of my favorite images is the one that he has on his portfolio – number 18 (or 31… or 25). Just amazing. He just really made me want to get my wife out of work, run and put the dress back on, get a suit, and just stand in front of him and hope for the best… shivers I tell you. Oh! and he has a blog too. Check him out here: Cliff Mautner Blog Page

The Kelby Training Booth has some cool classes by our corps of pro’s, so be sure to check those out if you are in the area. And I know some of you have already done so, but if you see me, do stop me and say hello.. it’s always nice to see a friendly face.

Happy Monday everyone!
