This video cuts off after the first three words. Must be a streaming issue.

Last time I checked, DVD 480 was not HD quality. This should really just be called “Add Video to Flash CS3.”

    Hi there KindredMac
Tell you what…. rip a full 1280 p vid off one of you DVD’s. Encode it to H.26 and, using the “Add Video to Flash” technique presented in the tutorial stick it up on a web page. This is not the place to debate but Flash video uses the FLV/f4v format and a 4:3 aspect ratio. This clip was “ripped” off of a DVD and doesn’t have that ratio. It is an mp4 encoded using the H.264 codec.

    Hey Tom,
I was under the impression mp4/h.264 video has a playback issue when used progressively, due to the metadata being at the end of the file.

I have tried this myself and found it to be correct, the video only plays once it’s fully downloaded.

    Can you clarify please?

    Thanks,
    Dave.

You need to move the mov to the front. Then the video will load immediately. There is a free open source program to do it. Just not sure of the link.
