Graphic Design Salaries on the Rise - AIGA Survey Indicates Improvements

The design economy is slowly recovering. There is little doubt that overall demand for communication design services dropped after the Internet bubble burst and has been relatively flat since. Now, we see a number of reasons why we can expect this to improve. As overall economic growth continues, designers are likely to see increased demand for their services. Firms are beginning to hire again, although many have reexamined their size and the range of services they plan to offer. The ones that have been most successful in recent years are those that have adapted their strengths to address communications or innovation strategies for their clients and to develop solutions that span a variety of design disciplines.
