Hi Tom, I have some serious questions concern site loading times. As a designer(side career) of music sites I find that the loading times for some sites is pretty long especially if they contain video. Using some of your tutorial examples as a mock up the files sizes are tremendous! IE; The tut on adding a sound spectrum in AE to a mp3. First off, in order to get good sound quality in Flash one has to most definitely ignore the mp3 compression presets and one must boost the compression ratios up to at least 60 to 80 in the Publishing panel. Otherwise you have phase distortion. I put a 4 min mp3 to your tut on the sound spectrum and it took longer than usual to render to an .XFL. I have a professional audio/post facility and have the bells & whistles so everything will play on my systems flawlessly……….however, since I’m more of an Audio Producer and Video Producer, and relatively new to Flash…….What is the best way to have sites load quickly, w/ the preloader installed obviously.? How to I avoid “Site Freeze” with a rich interactive site?
