Here is the part RC missed (why the yellow didn't show up.)

(No disrespect intended, RC, as the way you did it is the way Fireworks SHOULD work.)

However, it's not enough just to add a second state (and, for example, the yellow color) on the master page. You THEN have to go through and individually go to EVERY page that links to the master page and add a second state to EACH ONE -- otherwise the behaviors will not appear on ANY of those pages! (And you will pull your hair out, because the Master Page's slices WILL show -- but they WON'T WORK until you manually add an additional state to every page!

Further, note that if you add complex behaviors -- involving three or more states -- that you have to do this same workaround, making sure to add ENOUGH additional states on EVERY page to account for all of the states you put into your master page.

Weird, huh?

Thanks, RC, for a wonderful tutorial -- I can't imagine why Adobe made this interface choice (or didn't at least put in a pop-up dialog reminding users to add the extra states to all of their child pages.)

I do not see that the rollover state showed up in your demonstration. You added state 2 for each page with yellow text and your demonstration did not show the change. I am having this same issue and wonder how to correct it.
