Hi there Pete,
i am hungry for all kinds of basic lessons. This was a bit smiley one for me, and thank you very much for taking the time to do it.
I am a ‘newbie oldie’ artist living down on the very bottom of Africa! I recently had a font accepted on http://www.graphicriver.net and because i only began learning to design on computer last year (my son died of cancer and left me his iMac and all the software
I have tons of ideas but need to learn how to apply them, so i will be hanging around here on Layers Magazine for a while. Only frustration is that South Africa still only works at 56bps so patience really is a virtue here.

Vidéo très sympa! Un outils qui va devenir mon meilleur ami pour la création de nouvelle textures et brushes
Nice Vid ! This tool will be my new bestfriend for texture and brushes creation!
Pete, I’m always looking for new ways to come up with interesting textures to use. It never occurred to me to simply use the trace tool for this purpose. I enjoyed this tutorial and learned something new. Thank you.
Color and graphics will help catch the eye but unless your sticker is easily readable at a glance then you will lose people. They say you have only 2-3 seconds to attract the attention of a shopper browsing the aisles of a grocery store which is enough time to read just a handful of words. You should have your brand or company name as well as two or three words describing the product in large enough type that it can be read from six feet away.
nice post like it thanks for sharing……keep it up
