Happy Friday everyone. Before we begin, I want to thank Chris Owens for winning this week’s Layers Blog Contest as well as Robert Baldridge for winning the Layers TV contest. Giving out the prize contests and allowing you guys to check out different parts of this website are two great highlights of my job, so it’s always cool to see the winners come to my inbox from our Producer.

dtownlogo Today, Scott Kelby, bestselling author, acclaimed photographer and leading Adobe® Photoshop® expert, launched the first Nikon DTOWN weekly show, featuring the coolest camera tips, photography techniques, accessories and news for Nikon’s digital SLR cameras.

Nikon DTOWN, which airs each Thursday and runs 10-12 minutes, is sponsored by Nikon® and produced by Kelby Training. With Scott Kelby and Matt Kloskowski, education and curriculum developer for the National Association of Photoshop Professionals as its hosts, Nikon DTOWN is a fresh approach to teaching camera tips and photographic techniques to today’s digital photographers. Layers Magazine Instant Inspiration
Premiering in the March/April issue of Layers is the new column “Instant Inspiration”, which takes a look at how industry professionals find their creative inspiration. They share their artwork and also give the nitty gritty on what tools they use to become inspired. The first “Instant Inspiration” features is graphic artist John Massé.
