photoshop holiday actions

First off, I want to thank ALL of you who entered the first of the Layers Magazine contests. I had a blast reading all of the entries that poured in until about an hour ago. However, this contest’s winner is…

Paula Roberts – Hurray!

Paula will be receiving a copy of Scott Kelby’s Lightroom Book for Digital Photographers. That’s a book I’m always going to for insight. I know you will enjoy it.

Believe me, between the magazine and the LayersTV show, there are going to be more contests, so make sure that you keep checking back with us.

Three things that are catching my eye today:

Our resident video genius Scriv turned me on to this plugin – it apparently lets you change the angle of a face. Check it out at this site.

Graaavy! I just bought this plugin that lets me put a cool Flash slideshow onto a page. Check their product out here.

Finally, Mike Rodriguez seems to be rocking it with his cool Holiday Actions tutorial for Photoshop CS3. Check that out on our own Layers Website Tutorials section.

I’m going to be incorporating your feedback into the blog over the next couple of weeks, sending out hello’s and hi’s to those who contributed. Stay tuned and thank you..

Share & Enjoy

I was totally floored by winning! I just watched a bunch of tutorials about lightroom and this just made my day! I love your site and can’t wait for the dead tree version to show up at my door! Thank you all again!

I’m not a Flash developer, but I have a basic understanding of it. The Graaavy Expander Gallery 1.0 is a nice and sleek enhancement to a basic slideshow or just throwing pictures on the page.

I intend on buying it to use for my wife’s website. She does children’s paintings for their room/nursery and sells on ebay currently. I think that this plugin will ease a lot of frustration for me.

I worked at a copy/print shop for 4 years while in college and now I’m a police officer. I introduced the owner’s of the copy shop to Adobe and now the company has literally doubled in size because of that introduction if you ask me.

I still love messing with all of Adobe’s products and am thankful for not only NAPP but Layers Magazine. I haven’t subscribed to Layers yet (why, I don’t know) but hopefully will at the beginning of the year. Thanks for posting the link and as always thanks for doing what you guys do.

I just wanted to say thanks for the mention. We’re really pleased you’re liking the components.

    Best wishes for 2008!
