I was trying to decide on whether to leave a Know-It-All or Troll type comment and cannot decide between the two. So I guess I will just settle for the Pump-You-Up type. LOL

Seriously though, great blog post. I think you pretty much nailed the topic. Personally, I prefer to get comments on my blog posts rather than tweets about it. That being said, I found a plug-in today for WordPress that solves this problem completely. It searches Twitter, Digg, FriendFeed, other blogs, and many other social media type sites looking for comments about your blog post. When it finds one it adds it to your blog as a comment with links to the social media site entry that talked about it. Pretty sweet, huh? I installed it this morning and it has already added quite a few comments from people tweeting about my blog posts.

You can find info about this plug-in here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/backtype-connect/. Hope you and your readers find it useful.

To see it in action just go to my blog (www.tkrphoto.com) and look in the comment area of my of my latest posts and you'll see some tweet entries from Twitter.

Thanks for this post RC. I think right now tweets are possibly helping some blogger's get comments. I've been reading more blogs lately, & have really gotten into checking out yours every time you send out a tweet. I've never really left comments on a blog before, but your post made me think that it's a good idea to do so, in that the blogger will get more than just a page view.

Hello RC

Tweet me out....lol. I have enough distractions....

Please make your videos down loadable or largeer screen, that is what makes me web goodness.

Besides, Tweeter is a fad that will burn out in 18 months or more

I have so many different things that interest me that I forget to check a lot of blogs. Having a tweet to remind me really helps, thanks RC.
I know this will help a lot of my friends inform others when they have a new blog.

Tweets are fleeting, comments last until you delete them. I enjoy comments because they tie to a blog post, and I can reference them later.

Even though I favorite a few tweets, I find myself copying & pasting info I like/need/use into some other medium.

I know I don't speak for the whole of the Internet, but I for one really like hearing that the people I've been following through blogs and podcasts listen to brilliant music while working. Keep tweeting about Depeche Mode as much as you want!
