Rick Sammon – Close Up Photography
Looks like Rick Sammon is at it again with some amazing images in the world of close up photography. I absolutely love this shot – the color, the space. He just makes it look so effortless! Now, with a starter like this, it’s absolutely essential that you take a look at more of his stuff:

The new W700
I came in this morning and noticed that Rob had a cool new machine on his site for the Digital Photo person – the Thinkpad W700. This one is a monster. It can be outfitted with 8GB of RAM, Quad Core, and you can have multiple 320GB hard drives in it. It’s not light (8.3 lbs) but I would expect a machine like this to tear through some Creative Suite apps. Oh, and did I mention, it has a built-in Wacom tablet? I’m going to see if we can get one in house to play around with here. When I do, it’ll be easy to spot me. I’ll be the guy manically laughing in the office.

The A2B LEV
Now, this isn’t Adobe Creative Suite related — but if you take a look around, you’ll notice that the price of gas doesn’t seem to be coming down any time soon. While this wouldn’t necessarily be your solution if you have a 30 minute car ride, this could be something to use for short jumps, and it can definitely help out the gas guzzling, I think. In the end, the amount of money saved from not using gas could be spent on the new D700.. See? Now there’s a positive spin.

That laptop rocks! I just wonder what the picture quality is really like though.
Hey RC, Matt is slacking on the PS killer tips. Could you lock him in his office till he gets a new one up. I’ll send you 5 bucks if you do.
