demontowers.jpgHappy Friday everyone. Let’s keep it short and sweet for everyone here. I was a little upset that I didn’t get a chance to hang out at the most recent Fireworks Jam session with Alan Musselman, but thankfully, according to his blog, the session has been recorded for all of us to check out at our leisure. Make sure you check out the Fireworks Blog to catch up with the session, and check out Demon Towers, a site dedicated to bringing you Fireworks and Flash CS3 tools for you to use.

Photoshop World is a couple of weeks away, and if you haven’t gotten a ticket, be sure to click on the Registration page and signup. From pre-cons to the site conferences, there is something guaranteed for everyone. If you do come, please be sure to stop by my classes on Dreamweaver and Photoshop, and Dreamweaver/Fireworks/Photoshop mixup. It should be a blast.

A cool InDesign tutorial and an update to the contest posting on Monday follows the jump. Be sure to follow along.

InDesign Placement of Text
When creating InDesign documents, you will spend quite a bit of time importing content from applications like Microsoft Word. Because of this, it is essential that you learn some cool tricks on how to get that text in with as few errors as possible. James Felici has a great tutorial on our site on how to be able to do just that. Click Here to get to the tutorial.

Contest Update
I’m really digging the feedback that we are getting on the weekly contests that we are running, and I want to take them up a notch. One of the things that I am noticing though is that many users are writing in on Monday, trying to get their contest entries in before the 5PM deadline. In order to make sure all of you get a chance to win all of the great prizes, I think I am going to start the week off on Mondays with the contest, with the winner being drawn on Friday. This will at least get you a couple of days to get your entries in and get a better chance at the loot. So, make sure you come back on Monday, and I will be sure to get a really cool giveaway for you to enter for.

That’s it for me for today. Have a great weekend everyone, and I will catch all of you first thing Monday morning!

Share & Enjoy
