Kevin Ames' commercial photographs have appeared in Time, Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal, and on the covers of Professional Photographer, Photoshop User, Jezebel, and Atlanta Sports and Fitness magazines. He works for corporate clients including AT&T, Coca-Cola, Carter's, Honda, and Westin Hotels, as well as in brochures, annual reports, websites, and trade show graphics.
Kevin has served on and as Co-Chairman of the Professional Photographers of America's (PPA) Digital Imaging Committee. He is a Craftsman, a Certified Professional Photographer, and an Approved Photographic Instructor in all degrees from PPA. Currently, he's a board member of the American Society of Media Professionals (ASMP) Atlanta/Southeast chapter.
Kevin's teaching credentials include work at the Southeastern Center for the Photographic Arts, the Rocky Mountain School of Photography, and the renowned advertising school The Creative Circus, where he helped write their digital photography curriculum. He teaches photographic and digital imaging workshops and classes across the United States, Canada, and Europe.
Kevin wrote "The Digital Photographer's Notebook" column for Photoshop User magazine for eleven-and-a-half years and the "The Photographer's Lighting Handbook" for the iPad magazine Light It. He has authored four books on digital photography, including one for the extremely popular Dummies series.
