btj_current.jpgIn keeping with the recommended reading vibe that I have been on this week, let me recommend to you BT Journal. Written by Moose Peterson, the BT Journal is the definitive journal for wildlife photographers. I was pumped to get my copy from Moose when I was at Photoshop World, and just got to sit with it last night. I just love the content. It even has an article from Josh Bradley, which is definitely a plus.

AG Design has got a neat article that takes a look at Form and Function in Graphic Design projects. Lois Knight really does a good job with breaking down the process of working on a project. Make sure you take a look at that article here on this link.

Check out a cool tutorial on Flash after the jump.

Don’t Make Me Think
Ah.. here’s a book recommendation. Going back and reading the article on Form versus Function, it got me thinking about Usability – that oft-cited and rarely used concept for designing websites. If you aren’t really up to speed on what usability is, and why it’s something that you should be interested in, I have a book/website for you. The book is called “Don’t Make Me Think” by Steve Krug. The book is a light read, very, very funny, and teaches great concepts on keeping it simple when you design. I’ve been a fan of the book for a long time, and recently had one of those “Man… I should re-read that book again” moments – make sure you check it out.

Photoshop and Flash Tutorial
Marcus Geduld and Richard Harrington give us a tutorial on how to incorporate Flash and Photoshop in a design scenario. The import PSD functionality is something that is -almost- complete; if they could just include some form of roundtripping – we’d be all set. Check out the tutorial here.
