bill fortney and adobe flex

Glad you’re back! Let’s dish a little bit.

This week on Layers TV we have legendary landscape photographer Bill Fortney giving us a review of Nikon’s newest offerings, the D300 and the D3. That review in itself is worth spending some time with us. Make sure that you click the link on the right to check it out. Aside from being really handy with all things technical on the camera, his landscape shots are nothing short of amazing. Check out more on Bill, and book your next photo session with the crew at The Great American Photography Workshop.

If you are programatically inclined, I think you should be checking out Adobe Flex 2 at the Adobe site. Flex offers you a chance to develop great applications that run on browsers for both Windows and the Mac. I’ve got some tinkering I need to get done, and over the next couple of months I think I’m going to take it out for a spin. You should too. Make sure to check out some of the cool apps that have already been designed by following this link.

Finally, what post is complete without some product reviews. We’ve been busy here back at the ranch testing out some cool gear. Chris Main has got a great review on a Sigma 50-150 2.8 lens, while our buddy Marcus is making all sorts of smoke with the new Partigen plugin for Flash.
