bert2.jpgI want to point out that world-renowned artist Bert Monroy is getting his own column in Photoshop User magazine. The column is going to be named “From Bert’s Studio” and it’s going to be incredible. Bert is a guy who can leave you absolutely speechless every time he teaches. I can’t wait for you guys to read the column. If you want to see more of his work, check out www.bertmonroy.com . Now, as a New Yorker myself, I may be a little partial, but “The NY Deli” and “Oyster Bar” are my two all-time favorite pieces. You can find them in the “Fine Art” category. Check them out!

Layers site also has our own Corey Barker providing us a great new tutorial on Photorealistic Illustration. You can find it in the tutorials area. Be sure to check Corey’s tutorial out here. While you are there at the tutorial page, be sure to check out some of the other tutorials that we have on the site. I pick up a couple of new things every time I do.. I’m sure you will as well.

On a non-Adobe note, I wanted to take a second to congratulate Scott Kelby for getting on the field at Raymond James Stadium and doing some FINE shooting of the Bucs/Cardinals game. I can’t imagine how much fun it would be to get asked to be on the field in my home town, with my favorite team. Thankfully, I think the images speak really well about the excitement of the game and the whole experience. Good on ya, Scott.

Check out the slideshow on Scott’s site. Happy Monday!
