Happy Monday. Great to be back from a long weekend — though if you weren’t in the US, I hope that you had at least a very short Friday. Let’s get down to it. We have a contest winner to announce as well as a new contest, and an interview.
Layers Blog Winner
First things first — last week we had a blog contest. The winner of that contest is Laurie Coulson. Congratulations!! Laurie has just won a Scott Kelby cornucopia of books and DVDs – so here’s to her!
Scott Kelby and Ed Greenberg
Yes, I know that we’ve talked about Scott’s blog this past week, but it looks like he has another winner here, and on the off chance that his blog isn’t one of your regular stops, you should know about it. On PhotoshopUser TV, Scott interviewed Ed, who is a copyright attorney, and they talked at length about copyright information. Ed’s just an awesome guy, and he shares some invaluable information on what you can and cannot do with your images.

Contest Time
This week, I wanted to talk some more about my friends over at Digicrafts Components. These guys really take the pain out of making cool interfaces and galleries, and I think their product is a MUST when you need to get compelling stuff out, very very quickly. We are going to give you a copy of their Fototile CS plugin. We’ll also throw in a copy of my Photoshop and Dreamweaver Creative Integration DVD. Go to the Contact page and fill in your name, email address, and details. Contest entries are accepted until Thursday 5PM, and the winner will be announced on Friday.
Here’s the contest: In a couple of sentences (no more than 3 if you want), tell me what you do with your Adobe Products. If you like, you can also let me know how you want to take your knowledge to the next level.
That wraps it up for today everyone. Have a wonderful week!

Anxiously awaiting the Fireworks CS4 Overview parts 6-10. Any idea when they will appear on the website?
I am using Lightroom, PS3, Flash, Illustrator, InDesign, Fireworks and Dreamweaver to compile an interactive, as well as a printable journal of my family history over five generations since 1865.
I have been including photographs, snapshots, videos, patent documents, and descriptive narratives. The work has been in progress for almost ten years, and is barely half completed. I hope to be able to bring it up to date within another year or two. With the rapid improvements in hardware and in the software, at least since CS3 and LightRoom, it is becoming a reachable goal.
