how would I nest a ‘red paragraph symbol’ at the beginning on each new paragraph? the paragraph is justified with no line break between graphs.

Will “%” in para. style name cause any problems? I have a job that is constantly crashing that has a “%” sign in the para. style name.

For some reason, applying the nested styles is not working with me. I do exactly as you say, but when I apply the style to text, it ignores the first X characters en the next X words, it just shows it in one style (a style which i didn’t even define in the paragraph style :s)
