(MacWorld) Apple executives are claiming that over 1,000 applications are already available as Universal binaries. A Universal binary application should run natively on both Intel and PowerPC-based Macs. Echoing statements made by senior Apple employees in London yesterday, Apple chief financial officer Peter Oppenheimer told attendees at the Morgan Stanley Semiconductor and Systems Conference that 1,000 applications are now available as Universal applications.
